Just thinking about the pickaxe concept..
If you create a pickaxe vending machine that create pickaxes somehow.. (ideally if combined some iron and some wood 0 using the combine cowmand) all of the objects it will create will have a specific owner.
You can then use that owner to know if someone is using a pickaxe on some rock to mine for iron.
