You are looking at the hard path to success

Is life too simple for you? Well fret no longer, for Thorn has blessed the realm with a way to make life more challenging shout oooh!

There is now find: [the material called difficult]. This material can be set on anything that needs a challenge. Then use find: [the command called init] to prepare it. think that sounds too easy

create a crossword puzzle. material it as _difficult_. init it. use it

The above just takes on the normal difficulty, requiring a problem solving skill to use it. But you can customize the object to require whatever skill you want on whatever command has been upgraded for the difficult life. You can even make it require different skills or levels of difficulty depending on which command is used. For more on this, read the material called difficult.

Scripting items for failure is slightly easier than scripting for success. You don't need any of that if target of failure mumbo jumbo. Just put the script under an appropriately named block (failuse or failgo or whatever) and voila!

When players fail at performing the command, they gain at the required skill. So if at first you don't succeed, try try again.

Ideas for the normal problem solving difficulty:
- using an alien ship's control panel, failure causes the ship to go haywire

- using a magically glowing purple cube, failure paints you purple

- using a vending machine, failure causes something you didn't want to pop out

And if you feel complicated, make yourself difficult to use!

Ideas for custom difficulties:
- watery doors that require a swimming skill to enter.
- high exits that require a climbing skill to enter.
- traps that require a disarm skill to disarm.
- a spear that requires the aim skill to throw at something.

Unfortunately, only find: [the command called use] recognizes the challenge, but Thorn has made it easy to update the rest of the commands so expect more soon!
