A timer is a tricky thing to do.. but I think I have the answer.
read the info about call as you can request your call command be some time in the futre.. say 30 seconds away.
I recon this would do the job.
Good luck with the old sleep thing.. oh.. Ms Marple was asked 'Did you have much luck?' regarding getting some info from a suspect, and she replied 'No.. just years of experience'.
