Well, not much has been happening lately in cow.. mind you angel_maddie returned in the guise of porcelain.
This incident reminded me of the wrap command which can proove very useful, especially around someones birthday. read the command called wrap
Another incident was related to emails which prompted wolis to create a nw command myemail. "Using this simple little command you can edit our email address" beamed wolis "so if we need to contact you in an emergency we can send you an email".
It turns out not many cowillians have recorded a current email address so when the flood comes we wil ahve no way of contacting them (you).
Talking of floods, I was shown around google: [second life] the other day and as much as I was impressed with its 3Dness, I was pleased to see that cow has a few things going for it that Second Life doesnt:
- cow is free
- cow is for everyone regardless of ability (to see)
- cow encourages you to use your imagination
- cow encourages you to use words
- cow is fast
- cow does not require you to have a powerful computer
- cow does not require any downloads or installations
As always, if you have any thoughts on how to make cow better, just send wolis some feedback
Oh, I nearly forgot to mention what the minor change was, its just that any object that has been switched off (code-wise) will not respond to ticks until it has been switched on. So you can have a clock that ticks when you switch it on, then stops when you switch it off. very minor, but Im sure it will proove useful.
