You are looking at many info about rss

We now have a cow feeder which feeds RSS readers out there in web 2.0 land.

The feed burner link for the news room is:

http://feeds.feedburner.com/wolispace/news

You can manually create your own feed of ay command or list of objects in cow like this:

These are a parameters you can add to wolispace.com/cgi-bin/cow.pl?m=rss

c = a cow command like look, list%20new, find%20book%20of

l = location where temp character is created 20, news%20room

j = jump to a location and display its contents

u = identify the feed

Below is a lengthy description using the cowfeed - which may not work wth all readers as it relies on javascript to simplify the process but not all feed readers process the javascript correctly.

Use this URL link: wolispace.com/cowfeed?c=list%20new

c= (for command) is a cow command which will list some objects.

link: wolispace.com/cowfeed?c=list%20modified
link: wolispace.com/cowfeed?c=find%20the%20book%20of
link: wolispace.com/cowfeed?c=readall%20the%20book%20of%20trading

Or you can list the contents of a location with ?j= (for jump) and a locations name (has to be unique) or a locations ID number:

link: wolispace.com/cowfeed?j=reasearch%20room
link: wolispace.com/cowfeed?j=news%20room
link: wolispace.com/cowfeed?j=7009

As a 'nice thing to do' how about adding u= followed by some text to identify the reader your getting the feed for eg u=FireFox or u=NetVibes.com

This text is added to the description of the 'guest' user who is created for the feed and it helps players of cow know why the guest suddenly appeared and performed your chosen command.

You may want to indicate where the guest user is created, otherwise it ie created in the lcation you are jumping to or the open field. This is done with the l= (for location)

For the tecnically minded, using the cowfeed automatically adds m=rss (for mode). if you wanted to build your own complex URL direct into cow.pl you would want to add this so it generates rss.

Also we have a quick and simple method of reading or examining an object wth e= (for exmaine). This is redundant in rss feeds, however is quite useful if you want to send someone a url in an email to examine something you have created:

link: wolispace.com/cgi-bin/cow.pl?e=the%20battle%20rat

here are the feed readers or aggregators I have tested this with
link: netvibes.com
link: google.com/reader
and the LiveMarks in FireFox

Each displays the results in different ways.. who knows how others display them!
