Heres a gem I just got from my random haiku generator:

A gloomy hot light,
pondering icey kisses.
Elusive pleasure

a http://wolispace.com/cgi-bin/a.pl?pid=&mode=cd&file=../html/documents/words/haiku|haiku is a short expressive poem with three lines.

The number of google: [sylables] is 5 on the first line, 7 on the second then 5 again.

The brevity of the haiku should conjour up in your imagination the scene, the feeling the essence of the subject matter.

You will find some staple haiku in the staples website

The first haiku I read was something like this

An ancient pond
a frog jumps in
the sound of water

This, however does not follow the standard 5,7,5 sylable pattern so I obviously have remembered it incorrectly.. mind you I belive there is a variation with a different set of sylables and this probably fell into that category.
