That crash must have been what kept me from logging on the other day...poor COW refused to acknowledge that my account existed. Oh well, all better now.
I'm actually rather attached to that CALF idea, already, so I think I'll jump on that. Good reference to the roots.
As it stands, I've got Java to remember on a one time basis objects that a person says to create, the ability to recall those objects, and alter little descriptions for them. I'm rather proud of this, though eventually I hope for prolonged remembering of past creations...still beyond my Java knowledge. My next goal is for locations, or "build" commands.
Kinda stuck with pure text-base at the moment, since Java applets never agree with me. Nasty things get all persnickety and refuse to work. Eventually I'll have to scoot over to one of those for ease, though, I imagine...
But overall, I'd say I'm making some progress, and since it's basically working with COW, it's keeping me happy. And it's for my class final, so bonus points for me. Not often school-work is entertaining.
So we'll call that my first update, I suppose. Hope things are still going well for you!
