Hey again, wolis!
Noticed you were poking around Maer a bit, even added some stuff. Glad I'm still noticed now and then. School's keeping me nice and vacant here, unfortunately...sick most of winter break, sadly. Bronchitis is icky.
Kind of a two-part letter here.
The first part is generally me re-connecting and stuff. Kind of wondering how things have been with you. Hopefully you had a nice Christmas and New Year's. Not sure how Australia deals with those, but they're the usual big events here in the US of A. Big trees and New York's big ball drop. Fun stuff. Kind of hoping no disasters have occurred down under, but I guess things happen.
In the other bit, my semester with my computer programming class is unfortunately ending now, which is a bit unfortunate. We have to end with a biggish project for our finals though and we get to make a program of our choosing, as long as it has all the various topics we've covered in class. Probably the easy part.
I've decided to try to make something along the lines of a mini-COW. I don't really have access to my own server and I'm rather unknowing about Java's methods of storing oodles of information, so it'll probably be a "remake everything each time you run" sort of deal. And I'm crummy with applets, so it'll be stuck with text commands and no clicking, most likely.
I think I'm just going to start off with it being a little "Hey there, you can type in stuff to make an object, then type more stuff to make that object more interesting" sort of affair, to keep it simple. Maybe I'll wow a few people, score you some free advertising. Already slipping a thanks to you and COW in there anyway, since you are the reason.
Figured I'd let you know, since I think you expressed interest in this at one time, a ways back...not sure how your Java studies are going, but I'm no master, so it'll be a good ride.
Well then, with that, I shall bid you an adios and return my work.
