You are looking at a little combo

Howdy there, wolis. Happy to be about.

A life that's going smoothly is always a good one, so I'm glad to hear that. Judging by the note, you're either in New York right now, or left already, but either way I hope to enjoy/enjoyed it.
I'm not one for cities, personally. That's just me.

But school is looking a little less heavy this year (so far), with homework being a bit lighter, so I decided to visit COW some more. Though, most of the reason I came back is because of my Computer Programming class I'm taking this year. It reminded me of COW and of how much fun I had running around here, tinkering. Working my way through Java slowly (teacher lags behind for the other students, since they are taking it as a blow-off class; they commit no effort)...but I'm still getting that rather keen enjoyment out of it. It's the first class in a long while I've truly enjoyed, and the others were just because of the teachers. Recognizing this, I've finally been able to sort through colleges, career-wants, all that jazz. Which reminded me that I needed to thank you. You were the one who first introduced me to programming, even if in a somewhat simplified form. You took your time to teach me and be someone I classify as a mentor and friend. You, whether you get all humble and don't recognize it or not, have shaped my life rather significantly, at this point. Bet that's an interesting thought. Halfway around the world, and all this was done. So yes...thank you. I don't really want to devour too much of your time with this, but felt it needed to be said.

Anyway, now I get to relearn COW and get back to my machinations...

Haven't played Morrowind in some time...my copy has some sort of memory error on the disk and tends to be missing key files at the worst times. Oh well, still fun now and then.
I've heard good things about the Thief series, kind of wanted to try it out. Penumbra is new to me though...definitely have to find some way to get at that, too.
I've spent my time playing Left 4 Dead and Prototype, both rather interesting games. Left 4 Dead is a definite time-consumer...been playing that one for months. Kind of looking forward to acquiring a little game called Scribblenauts too. The developers had the interesting idea to just mash as many words from a dictionary into a game as possible, then make it so the player just had to type them in to create the object in the game. It's a puzzle/time-waster style game, so not much story, but has 20,000+ words of entertainment. Hehe...aarvark and Cthulhu.

But yes, fear my walls of text and good day to you wolis! I shall see you around, eventually, I imagine.
