I love the challenges in John Montroll's A Plethora of Polyhedra in Origami however the instructions get a bit sparse near the end sometimes.
The Icosahedron is an excellent example of this with the cryptic phrase that will haunt me for years to come 'wrap around the dark paper' which doesnt really explain anything.
I finally (after many attempts) figured it out (Im still not sure its correct but it works for me). Here is how to do the final 3 steps (43, 44 and 45) on page 21:
